Amid growing international political uncertainty and diminishing eff ectiveness of traditional multilateral institutions, the importance of intergovernmental platforms, including the BRICS bloc, is increasing. Th e expansion of BRICS in 2024 with the inclusion of new members (Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, UAE and Indonesia) opens up opportunities for the creation of a new economic architecture capable of addressing external challenges and strengthening the role of emerging economies in global trade. The article examines the key mechanisms for developing fi nancial infrastructure and the current state of financial integration within the bloc.
