Abstract

The article considers trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Serbia. The relevance of the study is explained by the need to revise the existing model of cooperation between the countries taking into account geopolitical tensions. The article defines the role of Serbia as a key partner of Russia in South-Eastern Europe – a ”conductor” to the EU market. The main challenges faced by Russian and Serbian businesses in the markets of the two countries under foreign policy uncertainty are outlined. The current state of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Serbia is overviewed. With the tightening of anti-Russian sanctions promising areas of cooperation between the countries are suggested.
