Abstract

The article aims to stress test the resilience of the Russian economy under unprecedented pressure of “unfriendly” countries. The Ural industrial complex was chosen as the object of the study. Based on the data from SPARK-Interfax reference and analytical system, the margin of safety of the Ural specialized industries is estimated. The changes in sales and profits (losses) of the leading enterprises of the fuel and energy complex, mechanical engineering and the metallurgical complex of the region for 2020-2021 were analyzed. Electronic engineering, as it turned out, is one of the most vulnerable sectors of the Russian economy to the sanctions pressure, which can be countered only through joint efforts of the government and business.
