Abstract

In modern international trade, a complex of transactions united by the concepts of commodity exchange has gained increasing attention from enterprises of various countries. They have previously played a significant role in international trade. However, in recent years, their importance has increased. Commercial practice, in which the sale is linked to the purchase of goods (services), or, conversely, the purchase of goods is conditioned by the sale, unites a whole train of transactions in which payment is provided for by the supply of goods and/or services in addition to or instead of cash payments. Among a wide range of forms of foreign trade transactions, barter is the oldest. This is a separate form of counter-trading, characterized by the fact that it is not associated with the use of money.
