Quality of Public Administration in the Context of International Assessments

Abstract

The article deals with the state and ways of improving the quality of public administration. Several international methods for assessing the quality of public administration as well as different indices are presented. Based on the international indices and their assessments the quality of the Russian public administration is analyzed. The key reasons for low scores are revealed. Special attention is paid to the influence of public governance effectiveness and efficiency on different society spheres. Several ways to improve the quality of public administration are suggested. The relevance of creating basic conditions for economic growth is noted. Major trends in digitalization of public administration are examined. The need to create favourable conditions for business development is underlined
