Technology, media, and telecom sector: producers’ strategies and tools to enter foreign markets

Abstract

The author analyzes strategies and tools to enter foreign technology, media, and telecom (TMT) markets by domestic telecom equipment producers, points out the main goals of companies that decide to start foreign economic activity, and emphasizes advantages that exporters can get using different techniques. It is noted increasing international competition forces companies to look for new ways of cooperation and consolidation through establishing business partnerships with different degrees of integration. The author comes to the conclusion that the strategies and tools to enter a foreign market are determined by the company based on its goals, available funds, the specifics of the product and the ability to adapt to the current market conditions of foreign countries and peculiarities of the entire telecom industry.
