Abstract

The article investigates the opportunities of grouping commodity flows by broad economic categories and classes for the national accounts system such as consumer goods, intermediate goods (raw materials, processed, and parts and accessories) and investment goods (means of production) at subnational level that is extensively used at international level, but rather limited in national practices. Estimates that allow to assess the completeness of unleashing the export potential of the regions, the degree and nature of their involvement in the global economic relations, and to approach the differentiation of export flows in terms of adding value on the basis of the structure and geography of export commodity relations by broad economic categories have been obtained.
