Abstract

The article analyzes the current state of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). The Union is an operating customs union with its advantages and disadvantages. As practice shows, the abolition of non-tariff barriers gives positive macroeconomic results. The indicators of mutual trade turnover of the EAEU countries, as well as the changes in imports, exports and foreign trade turnover of the Republic of Tajikistan (RT) with the CIS countries and Foreign countries for 2014-2018 are analyzed. This paper assesses the interaction of the Republic of Tajikistan with the EEU countries. Trends, problems, and prospects for Tajikistan’s possible entry into the Eurasian Economic Union are considered. As a result of the analysis, a SWOT analysis of the Republic of Tajikistan’s accession to the EEU was carried out.
