Abstract

The growth of international trade on civil aircraft s market in recent years has been driven by increased competition between the two largest monopolies - Boeing and Airbus corporations. The author examines the trends in mutual competition between the two companies and analyzes the changes in the production and marketing policies of these companies. Particular attention is paid to the growing market for maintenance, repair and overhaul of civil aircraft, the services provided by specialized companies and aircraft manufacturers. It is proved that expansion of the maintenance network significantly improves the competitiveness in the civil aircraft market.
