Abstract

The article presents the tools of China’s foreign trade regulation, including tariffs and non-tariff measures. The basic principles of foreign trade aimed at effective modernization of China’s economy are stated. Assessment of the threats affecting China’s foreign economic activity due to high import duties imposed by the United States is given. The current domestic consumption in China and the volume of exports, with the current import tariff rates of the United States, are analyzed. It is revealed that foreign trade is a key factor of China’s sustainable economic growth.
