Carrier liability issues in the carriage of goods by sea

Abstract

The article considers the contract for carriage of goods by sea and examines issues related to legislative regulation of the carrier’s liability. The author examines the problems of regulating the liability in case of deadlines, loss, shortage or damage, and also indicates the limits of this responsibility in case of navigational error. On the basis of the study, the author makes conclusions about ways to address the issues of carrier’s liability in carriage of goods by sea under the current regulations.
