The role of foreign trade in the development of oil and fat products market in Russia

Abstract

The article considers the condition of sources of saturation of the oil and fat products market and the influence of foreign trade on the development of its market. Presented and analyzed data on the volumes of domestic production of vegetable oils, animal fats, margarine products and mayonnaise. Dependences on the years are revealed, the structure of domestic production in the region of the country, the structure of the assortment of fat-and-oil production, is indicated.Changes in the data on the volumes of domestic production have been analyzed and the reasons for their growth and decline have been explained. Data on imports and exports of fat and oil products are presented. It has been established that for vegetable oils and margarine, import dependence has been completely overcome. Moreover, Russia has expanded its export opportunities due to vegetable oils. Moreover, Russia has expanded its export capabilities through vegetable oils.The main producers of fat-and-oil products in Russia and their trademarks are shown. The actual problems of the market of fat-and-oil products, ways of their solution and perspective directions of development of this segment of the market are determined.
