Estimation of Influence of an Inter-Regional Economic Inequality on Macroeconomic Growth

Abstract

For today the high economic inequality of subjects of the Russian Federation becomes the independent factor constraining development of manufacture both at level of federal districts, and at macrolevel. Moreover, in long-term aspect rates of economic growth are exposed to negative influence also. By expert estimations, annual economic losses from high economic differentiation of subjects of the Russian Federation make to 3 % of gross national product. Accepting that fact that the economic inequality of regions is inevitable, it is possible to assume existence of some maximum (optimum) level of this inequality which excess will negatively be reflected in economic growth. The present article also is devoted check of the given hypothesis and revealing of an optimum level of spatial economic differentiation.
