Abstract

The corporate social responsibility is a key issue in the recent development of the corporate sector across the nations. The goal of this paper is to study the Indian corporate sector in alleviation of poverty. The growing industrialization has been demanding more responsibilities towards the society. In this juncture the role of Corporate has been increased and the CSR concept has been emerged in 1991 in India and has taking momentum. The present study is taken up to find out the nature, types and the process of implementation of CSR projects and to analyze the levels of peoples engagement besides its impact. The data were collected from a quota sample of 50 each from four displaced villages which comprises of 200 respondents. For the data analysis statistical tool SPSS has been used. The focus has been on frequency and percentage analysis to interpret the responses.
