Türkiye’de KOBİ Endeksi Üzerinde Etkili Faktörlerin MARS Yöntemi İle Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Türkiye’deki tüm işletmelerin %99,8’ini küçük ve orta ölçekli işletmeler oluşturmaktadır. Küçük ve orta ölçekli işletmeler ülkedeki istihdamın %73,8’ini sağlarken, toplam ihracatın %56,3’ünü gerçekleştirmektedir. Bu çalışmada küçük ve orta ölçekli işletmelerin Türkiye ekonomisindeki önemi göz önüne alınarak makroekonomik göstergelerin KOBİ endeksi üzerindeki etkisinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Aralık 2013-Temmuz 2021 dönemi için KOBİ endeksi üzerinde etkisi olduğu düşünülen Dolar kuru, Euro kuru, ticari kredi faiz oranı, reel güven endeksi, tüketici güven endeksi ve sanayi üretim endeksi değişkenlerine ilişkin aylık veriler çok değişkenli uyarlanabilir regresyon eğrileri (MARS) yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre Euro kuru, Dolar kuru, ticari kredi faiz oranı ve borsa endeksi değişkenlerinin KOBİ endeksi üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı etkiye sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Genel olarak borsa endeksi, Dolar kuru ve Euro kurunun KOBİ endeksini artırıcı bir etkiye sahip olduğu, ticari kredi faiz oranının ise endeks ile ters yönlü azaltıcı etki gösterdiği ifade edilebilir. Ayrıca MARS yöntemine göre Euro kuru endeks üzerinde en yüksek etkiye sahip değişken olarak bulunurken, onu sırasıyla Dolar kuru, ticari kredi faiz oranı ve borsa endeksi izlemiştir. Elde edilen bu sonuçlar düzenleyici otoritelerin faiz oranı ve döviz kurlarını koruma yönündeki politikalar benimsemesinin küçük ve orta ölçekli işletmeler üzerinde olumlu etki yaratacağını göstermektedir.
