Türkiye’de Doğrudan Yabancı Yatırımların Belirleyicileri Üzerine Ekonometrik Bir Analiz

Abstract

Türkiye gibi sermaye yetersizliği yaşayan gelişmekte olan ülkelerde, ekonomik gelişme sürecinin başarıyla sürdürülmesi bakımından doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar (DYY) oldukça büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışma 1988-2018 dönemine ait verileri kullanarak, Türkiye’de doğrudan yabancı yatırımların belirleyicisi olduğu düşünülen bazı ekonomik göstergelerin, DYY üzerine etkisini araştırmayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada kullanılan değişkenler DYY, çalışma çağındaki nüfus, dışa açıklık oranı, kurumlar vergisi oranı, küresel belirsizlik endeksi, saatlik kazanç endeksi ve uluslararası rezerv göstergesidir. Söz konusu ilişkinin tespiti için Autoregressive Distributed Lag Model (ARDL) ve Error Correction Model (ECM) kullanılmıştır. ARDL analizi sonuçlarına göre, uzun dönemde saatlik kazanç endeksi ile uluslararası rezerv göstergeleri düştüğünde ve dışa açıklık ile belirsizlik endeksi arttığında DYY miktarı artmaktadır. Kısa dönemde ise cari dönemdeki çalışma çağındaki nüfus ve uluslararası rezerv arttığında DYY azalırken; dışa açıklık oranı, küresel belirsizlik endeksi ve çalışma çağındaki nüfus arttığında DYY da artmaktadır. Bir gecikmeli kısa dönemde ise kurumlar vergisi oranı, dışa açıklık oranı ve küresel belirsizlik endeksinde azalış olursa, DYY miktarı artmaktadır.
