Abstract

Dengan 21 juta ton cadangan nikel atau setara 30 persen produksi nikel dunia, Indonesia memiliki potensi untuk menjadi salah satu produsen baterai mobil listrik terbesar di dunia. Tidak hanya nikel, Indonesia juga memiliki material baterai penting lainnya seberti aluminium, tembaga, mangan, dan cobalt. Dengan memproduksi baterai mobil listrik sendiri, Indonesia dapat memproduksi Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) dan Electric Vehicle (EV) dengan harga yang lebih kompetitif, khususnya untuk pasar mobil listrik berbasis batterai. Hal ini juga mendukung tujuan Indonesia untuk melakukan transisi dari moda transportasi berbahan bakar fosil menjadi yang lebih ramah lingkungan.
