Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 yang melanda Indonesia serta kebijakan pemerintah, yaitu Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (PPKM) memaksa masyarakat untuk melakukan kegiatan dari rumah. Hal itu membuat tingkat penggunaan internet semakin meningkat. Namun, pembatasan kegiatan tersebut berdampak pada kontraksi pertumbuhan ekonomi, penurunan pendapatan masyarakat dan meningkatnya pengangguran di Indonesia pada tahun 2020. Pandemi juga mengubah pola investasi keuangan masyarakat. Ketidakpastian pendapatan dan pekerjaan membuat membuat masyarakat menganggap bahwa investasi keuangan penting untuk jangka panjang. Namun, rendahnya tingkat literasi keuangan dan digital di Indonesia membuat masyarakat rentan terhadap penipuan investasi online. Selain itu, proteksi terhadap privasi data masyarakat juga masih rendah dikarenakan lemahnya pengaturan perlindungan data pribadi di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukannya upaya untuk meningkatkan digital skill dan literasi keuangan masyarakat. Memperkuat kelembagaan, regulasi serta ekosistem digital juga, dengan mempercepat proses pengesahan rancangan Undang-Undang tentang perlindungan data pribadi (PDP), serta pembentukan komisi perlindungan data pribadi perlu dilakukan sebagai upaya penguatan perlindungan data pribadi masyarakat.
