Las políticas activas de empleo en Bizkaia durante la Segunda República (1931-1936): el fomento y el fracaso de las obras públicas

Abstract

El presente artículo estudia el uso de las obras públicas como medida para hacer frente a la crisis económica en Bizkaia durante la Segunda República. Se centra en el estudio de las políticas de obras públicas destinada a mitigar la crisis del trabajo implementadas por las tres comisiones gestoras que estuvieron al frente de la Diputación Provincial durante el periodo estudiado (1931-1936). Analiza las prioridades y los criterios de los tres gobiernos provinciales y sus políticas. Finalmente, trata de conocer la efectividad de estas medidas y si su empleo tuvo un efecto notable sobre la tasa de paro. KEY Classification-JEL: N14; N34; J64; J68
