Abstract

The United States became the world's major exporter of agricultural products through its ability to offer large supplies of grain and oilseeds at reasonable prices. Wheat, rice, feed grains, soybeans, and sunflower seeds made up 80 to 85 percent of the volume, and 55 to 60 percent of the value of U.S. agricultural exports over the past decade.
