Abstract

Social economic studies and the level of welfare of farming communities use a quantitative analysis approach, namely by analyzing land area, agricultural production and farming income of farming communities in biru village, kahu district, bone regency. This study aims to analyze the sosio-economic and welfare levels of the community in biru village, kahu district, bone regency. The population in this study is the farming community in biru village, the simple in this study was determined using a random sampling technique by selecting as many as 30 people. Analysis of the data used is descriptive quantitative. The result showed that the average age of productive farmers was dominated by the age range between 37 –46 years with an average number of family deependets as many as 3 people within the scope of the house, the education level of farmers on average graduated from elementary school, the average area of farmland managed was 1, 12 hectares and the level of farm income in a period of planting as much as Rp. 23.908.479.
