Abstract

Abstract: Considering that malnutrition is one of the most important problems to be solved by multilateral development agencies, the main aims of this article are: (a) to present an overview of the recent statistics about the levels of starvation around the world; (b) to detail the misunderstanding of Economy and Development Sociology based on the demographic pressure and the maintenance of tradition; (c) to analyze the consequences of the intervention policies, and (d) to present the theories that pro-pose the importance of inner structural reasons to explain the situation
