Abstract

This paper shows the results of a research analyzing the technical efficiency of a sample of extensive dehesa farms. The technique use has been a non-parametric DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis). WE have determined the influence in the farms; efficiency of CAP's subsidies (considered as another input). Different typologies of farms have been studied, identifying which of them show the highest and lowest efficiency levels. Finally, the paper tries to mix efficiency levels and sustainability indicators, in order to compare efficient management vs. sustainable management.
