Abstract

The first survey uses increases in trip cost as payment vehicle. The second one uses a hypothetical entrance fee as payment vehicle. Landscape preferences of the visitors have also been studied, as well as the influence of over-adult trees on their welfare, estimating the willingness to pay for interrupting timber felling. Results show great differences between the estimations obtained for the recreational use with the two surveys. Timber felling has proven to affect visitors’ welfare and the preference for areas with very old trees has been identified.
