State policy in the field of implementation of bioenergy technologies in the context of its regulatory and legal support

The purpose of the article is to determine the main features and problems of the current system of legal regulation of production and use of biofuels in Ukraine. Research methods. In the process of research, the following methods were used: dialectical (with knowledge of the studied processes and phenomena); analysis and synthesis (for a detailed and comprehensive study of the processes of regulating the production and use of biofuels in the country); induction and deduction (to generalize the regulatory framework for regulating the production and use of biofuels in Ukraine, as well as to determine areas for improvement). Research results. The main features of the current regulatory framework for the production and use of biofuels in Ukraine are identified; identified shortcomings in addressing the issues of its certification and standardization, the adaptation of Ukrainian legislation on renewable energy development processes to EU legislation, implementation of the country's commitments in this area; identified the main problems that hinder the development of production and use of biofuels in Ukraine and require appropriate attention from public authorities. Scientific novelty. The scientific substantiation of the directions of improvement of normative-legal maintenance of regulation and support of the development of renewable energy in Ukraine and production and use of biofuels, in particular, has received further development. Practical significance. The study results can be used by central executive bodies and municipal governments to improve the regulatory framework for regulating the production and use of biofuels in the country and regions.
