Evaluation of agricultural entities’ activity in Lviv region

The purpose of the article is to study effectiveness of agricultural entities on an example of highly urbanized region of Ukraine, in particular Lviv region, economy of which is oriented on the service sector, as well as to identify the main trends and problems of development of local agricultural entities. Research methods. In the research process were used the following methods: dialectical method of cognition (for analyzing recent research by scholars on problems of development of agricultural enterprises in highly urbanized regions of Ukraine, as well as in relation to foreign experience); methods of analysis, analogy, comparison and synthesis (for assessing the current state and development of the research object). Research results. The assessment of agricultural entities performance indicators on an example of Lviv region in the period between 2013 and 2017 was carried out. The main tendencies and problems of development of agricultural enterprises in highly urbanized regions of Ukraine, economies of which are oriented on the sphere of services, were determined. Elements of scientific novelty. There were further developed theoretical positions on concerning an assessment of the effectiveness of agricultural entities in highly urbanized regions of the state, economies of which are oriented to the service sector. Practical significance. Developed theoretical and methodological positions make up a methodological basis for forming of a regional mechanism of strategic management in all branches of agricultural production and sales considering environmental and climate conditions of Lviv region and market objectives, which agricultural entities are faced.
