Agrarian management in the agrobusiness system

The purpose of the article is to investigate a concept of “agrarian management” in scientific, terminological, and applied sense as a significant part of the agribusiness system. Research methods. Basic terms of agrarian management and researches’ points of view regarding their interpretation have been investigated. The research was built on a ground of monographic and abstract and logical methods. The monographic method has been used for description of some terms and definitions of agrarian management and agribusiness, and abstract and logical method for justification of proposals for using the mentioned terms. Research results. It has been specified concepts of “administration”, “management”, and “entrepreneurship” highlighting specific functioning of agrarian management in the agribusiness system. Elements of scientific novelty. It has been offered a new meaning for a concept of “agribusiness” as an activity related to all branches of the agroindustrial complex and word groups “agrarian production” and “agricultural production”, which should be considered as synonyms. It is proved a quality difference between agricultural and industrial production in types of economic activity and income sources. This can be explained with decrease in resource return in agriculture and increase of resource return in industry. Decrease in resource return causes diminishing in recourse productivity, particular, labour and salary, and increase of resource return provides higher level of efficiency and salary. That is why countries with agrarian and mining economy in comparison with industrial countries have lower incomes. In agroindustrial entities agriculture and industry are connected that forms their compete superiority in comparison with other agribusiness forms. Practice significance. It has been proposed specifications for basic definitions of agrarian management and agribusiness, and also characteristic for specifications of agriculture and industry as types of economic activity and branches of agroindustrial entities.
