Monetary Strategy and Main Monetary Objectives of the Serbian Central Bank

Abstract

This paper presents the basic strategy of the Central Bank of Serbia to achieve and maintain macroeconomic stability. Basic instrument of choosen monetary Policy is the benchmark rate and the main indicator of monetary policy, is the exchange rate. The paper also explains the Gradualist approach to curbing inflationary trends in certain period of time.
