Balancing Between Stability and Flexibility Within Organizational Structures

Abstract

Stabile organizational structures correspond to the terms of stabile evironment, while flexible organizational structures represent an adequate answer to the terms of frequent environmental changes. Necessity of achieving high level of competitiveness in the terms of environmental discontinuity requires that all organizations achieve systemic equilibrium between stability and flexibility of functioning. In practice, three basic organizational models have shown results in balancing between stability and flexibility: inovative, front-back and distributed organizational form. A brief analyse of these models is presented in this paper.
