Abstract

The effect of two organic fertilizers was evaluated within the development of this project, compost at concentrations of 3, 4, 5 and 6 tons per hectare and compost tea at concentrations of 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 % v / v, for the production of tomato variety Hermosa saladette under greenhouse conditions. Treatments were divided into entirely randomized plots. The statistical analysis of the outcomes found significant differences in plant height variables and titratable acidity, while the performance variables, degrees Brix, polar and equatorial diameter difference was not significant. However, the values obtained for the variables evaluated in the fruits, meet the necessary requirements that the human consumption demands. Although the evaluation of the compost and compost tea organic fertilizers in the production of tomato under greenhouse conditions did not display significant difference in performance, these fertilizers can be considered as an alternative to organic production of tomato under greenhouse conditions, as the obtained production is acceptable for this crop using organic fertilizers.
