Rentabilidad De La Producción De Jitomate Silvestre Orgánico (Solanum Lycpersicum L.) En Cubiertas Plásticas De Bajo Costo

Abstract

The lag situation of small farmers forced to seek alternative crops that are more profitable. Because of this we assessed the economic viability of the production of wild tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) organic plastic covers low cost, quality and quantity for the product, preserving the environment and achieving economic and social benefits. The project was finished in productive Township Teziutlán, Puebla in an area of 100 m2, obtaining 1299 kg per cycle on average 2595 kg per year, the project was to small backyard producers, as the wild tomato is traded regional, and the cost of this usually remains at $ 18.00 per kilogram price being more stable and higher than conventional tomatoes. In the financial analysis yielded the following indicators: Net Present Value $ 60,452.99, benefit-cost $ 1.79, IRR 19.03% so it is concluded that the project is viable.
