Abstract

Avaliou-se o Impacto do Programa de Aquisição de Alimentos, modalidade leite (PAA-Leite), no município de Quixeramobim, Ceará, sobre as condições socioeconômicas dos agricultores familiares beneficiados. Os dados foram obtidos na pesquisa de campo realizada no mês de janeiro de 2011 no município de Quixeramobim. Como técnicas de análise, foram adotados análise tabular, descritiva e gráfica, o teste t-Student para comparação das rendas médias das atividades agropecuárias dos beneficiados e não beneficiados e de Kruskall-Wallis para comparação das proporções. Na análise da qualidade de vida dos entrevistados, recorreu-se ao cálculo do Índice de Qualidade de Vida (IQV) dos beneficiados e não beneficiados. Os resultados foram: a idade média dos beneficiados é menor que a dos não beneficiados e o nível de escolaridade dos beneficiados é maior que dos não beneficiados. A principal ocupação dos entrevistados é a agricultura. As rendas médias das atividades agropecuárias não são significativamente diferentes quando se compara beneficiado com não beneficiado. O IQV dos beneficiados é alto e dos não beneficiados é médio. As maiores contribuições para o IQV vieram das condições de moradia e das condições de bens duráveis, e a menor contribuição veio das condições sanitárias. O PAA – Leite vem contribuindo para uma melhoria na qualidade de vida dos beneficiados......The study evaluated the impact of the PAA - Leite in the county of Quixeramobim-CE on socioeconomic conditions of farmers benefited. Data were obtained from a field survey in January 2011 in the county of Quixeramobim. The table analysis, graphical and descriptive techniques were used. The t-Student statistics was used to compare the average income from agricultural and animals husbandry of non-beneficiaries and the beneficiaries. Kruskall-Wallis statistic was used to compare the proportions. To analyse the quality of life of interviewees the Quality of Life Index (QLI) was calculated. The main results showed that the average age of beneficiaries is lower than that of non-beneficiaries and the education level of beneficiaries is higher than that of non-beneficiaries. The main occupation of interviewed is agriculture. The average income of agricultural activities is not significantly different when comparing to non-beneficiaries and the beneficiaries. The QLI is high of beneficiaries is medium and the of non-beneficiaries. The largest contributions came from the QLI housing conditions and terms of durable goods, and got less sanitary conditions. The difference between the average quality of life of beneficiaries and beneficiaries is not significantly different. PAA - Leite has contributed to an improvement in quality of life of beneficiaries.
