Dietas de custo mínimo

Abstract

A análise da alimentação, adquirida por uma amostra de 2.380 famílias da população da cidade de São 'Paulo, no período de agosto de 1971 a julho de 1972, demonstrou que cerca de 70% das famílias dispunham de alimentação inadequada no aspecto nutricional. Neste estudo, usando a técnica da programação linear, foram determinadas, para essas famílias, dietas de custo mínimo, em consonância com certos hábitos alimentares básicos, que, além de atenderem aos requerimentos nutricionais, ainda permitiam gastos consideravelmente menores que os realizados na época, na compra de produtos alimentícios.
