Abstract

The need for integration of farmers began with the mechanisms of the market economy, in which manufacturers had to make decisions taking into account the economic situation of the market, including in particular: the laws of supply and demand, high competition and prices of products. The aim of this paper is to characterize the creation and functions of agricultural producer groups. The following issues were examined: determinants of organizational relationships between agricultural producers, their characteristics, and the legal conditions needed to function. As examples, models of agricultural producer groups functioning in selected countries of the European Union were described. / Synopsis.
