The paper is an attempt to assess the impact of bioethanol market developments on the cereal market. The conducted analysis showed changes in the structure of demand and supply as the main causes of growing instability on the world cereal markets. The share of inelastic components of demand has grown and therefore price changes due to changes in supply are greater than at the beginning of the century, in particular in the case of low stock levels. / Synopsis.
