Abstract

In the paper the typology of the Candidate Countries (CC) concerning the level of agricultural sector development on the basis of synthetic development measure and Ward cluster analysis were introduced. For diagnostic characteristics the following indicators were taken into consideration: share of agriculture’s value added in the Gross Domestic Product, the share of agriculture in employment, agricultural land per person and labor productivity in agriculture. The highest level of agricultural sector development is observed in Montenegro. Relatively high levels of development exists also in Bosnia and Hercegovina, Macedonia, Turkey and in Ukraine while a lower level of agricultural sector development is found in Serbia. The group of countries with the lowest level of agricultural sector development consists of Albania and Georgia. / Synopsis. W pracy została dokonana typologia krajów kandydujących (CC) do Unii Europejskiej (UE) dotycząca poziomu rozwoju sektora rolnego na podstawie syntetycznego miernika rozwoju oraz analizy skupień metodą Warda. Do cech diagnostycznych zostały uwzględnione następujące wskaźniki: udział wartości dodanej rolnictwa w produkcie krajowym brutto, udział rolnictwa w zatrudnieniu, użytki rolne na osobę i wydajność pracy w rolnictwie.
