Zmienność cen tusz jagnięcych w wybranych krajach UE

The aim of the study was to present the variability of lamb meat prices in selected EU countries. The article presented the prices for meat of heavy lambs (in live weight 23-40 kg). The paper included research for ten EU member countries. The highest prices were recorded in France, and the lowest in Romania. The price level in most countries was at the median level of the EU. In 2007-2013, the highest increase in prices occurred in the United Kingdom and Sweden, and the lowest in Spain. The biggest price changes were in Sweden, Spain and the United Kingdom, and the smallest in Austria, France and Germany. As a rule, there were seasonal fluctuations. The highest prices occurred in the winter months and the lowest in summer. The reason was the seasonality of production. Changes in the price of lamb and mutton had the same direction as price changes in the economy. The increase in prices of lamb meat was generally positively correlated with the increase in GDP per capita. In the case of sheep populations, relationships were negative. Only in German was there a very strong relationship between the level of lamb prices and the parameters of the economy. / Synopsis. Celem głównym badań było przedstawienie zmienności cen tusz jagnięcych w krajach UE i próba wskazania występujących prawidłowości. W artykule przedstawiono ceny tusz jagnięcych otrzymywane za jagnięta ciężkie (w wadze żywej 23-40 kg). Do badań przyjęto metodą doboru celowego dziesięć państw członkowskich UE. Najwyższe ceny tusz jagnięcych odnotowano we Francji, najniższe w Rumuni, a w większości państw były one zbliżone do średniej unijnej. W latach 2007-2013 największy wzrost cen wystąpił w Wielkiej Brytanii i Szwecji, zaś najmniejszy w Hiszpanii. Największe zmiany cen występowały w Szwecji, Hiszpanii i Wielkiej Brytanii, zaś najmniejsze w Austrii, Francji i Niemczech. Z reguły występują sezonowe wahania cen. Najwyższe ceny były w miesiącach zimowych, a najniższe w letnich. Przyczyną była sezonowość produkcji. Zmiany w cenach tusz jagnięcych podążały z reguły w tym samym kierunku, jak zmiany cen w gospodarce. Wzrost cen tusz jagnięcych był z reguły dodatnio skorelowany ze wzrostem poziomu PKB na osobę. W przypadku pogłowia zależności były ujemne. Jedynym krajem, w którym występowały bardzo silne związki poziomu cen tusz jagnięcych z parametrami gospodarki były Niemcy.
