Abstract

The level of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere is connected with the production of renewable energy. The world seems to be more and more aware of the harmful influence of greenhouse gas on the environment. One of the factors that can cut down the emission is increasing the production of renewable energy. The research of 26 countries of the EU was based on data from 2012. The ranking arrangements of the EU-26 were constructed with respect to three features: - the level of greenhouse gas emission; - the average rate of changes in the emission of greenhouse gas; - the level of production of renewable energy. The mpq measure was used to make the comparisons between ranking arrangements. The results only partially confirm the hypothesis of the conformance of the relationship between greenhouse gas emission and renewable energy production in the EU countries. / Synopsis.
