Abstract

The aim of the study is to assess the impact of Russian sanctions on EU Member States (including Poland) and any resulting changes in the structure and volume of the agri-food trade. The study involved comparing the trade before restrictions (2013) and in the same period after the introduction of Russia’s sanctions (2014). The study attempts to assess the impact of sanctions on the economic interests of EU Member States which are the main exporters to the Russian market. A sectoral approach has been presented, taking into account different sections of the agri-food export according to SITC as well as a detailed analysis of the effects of restrictions on the Polish agri-food market. / Synopsis.
