Abstract

Human resources management is becoming one of the main factors determining the socio- economic development. High unemployment resulting from the political and economic transformation in Poland defined directions for the state activity aiming at counteracting the phenomenon at any price. The accession to the European Union opened the European labour market for Poles. Exodus of mainly young, well educated and entrepreneurial people will cause a severe shortage of labour in the domestic market. In this situation, the main task is to improve the position of human resources in the system of socio-economic values. / Synopsis.
