Abstract

Economical results of farms of three types of farming (TF13 – field crops, TF41 – diary farms, TF50 – grainvores livestock) in selected EU member states in 2004 were analysed basing on FADN data. The research was done for three classes of biggest economic size. Usually the bigger the production output, measured by the economic size of farm, the bigger labour efficiency and assets and equity profitability. What may wonder are the good results of Spanish and Italian farms and some poor results of Danish, French, German or Dutch farms. Polish farms appeared to be competitive with regard to own labour productivity and profitability of assets and equity, especially these specialized in field crops and grainvores livestock. / Synopsis.
