Abstract
The aim of the research presented in the article was to analyze the changes in the prices of cereals in the current EU members since 2000. Studies were carried out using constant prices of six cereals: wheat, rye, barley, oats, maize and triticale in 27 countries. Ratings volatility was based on the values of the coefficients of variation. The results show that since 2006, observed a strong destabilization of the market, reflected in large fluctuations in prices. The article shows that changes in the price level may be to some extent explained by changes in the size of production, but the reasons for the severity of the violence of these changes failed to indicate. / Synopsis.
