Abstract

The aim of the study was to define and quantify the influence of Polish accession to the EU on production and utilization of food raw materials. The analysis was based on secondary data from studies of the Central Statistical Office and the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics. The analysed period was 2000-2007. It was stated that after the Polish entry into the European Union a lot of changes in many food raw material markets took place as a result of functioning of the Common Agricultural Policy instruments. At the same time alterations in average food consumption appeared. / Synopsis. Celem opracowania było określenie wpływu przystąpienia Polski do Unii Europejskiej na produkcję i wykorzystanie surowców żywnościowych. Analizę przeprowadzono w oparciu o dane wtórne pochodzące z opracowań Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego oraz Instytutu Ekonomiki Rolnictwa i Gospodarki Żywnościowej. Uwzględniono okres od 2000 do 2007 r. Stwierdzono, że na wielu rynkach surowców żywnościowych zaszły zmiany będące wynikiem m.in. funkcjonowania instrumentów Wspólnej Polityki Rolnej. W konsekwencji pojawiły się zmiany w przeciętnym spożyciu żywności.
