Abstract

Polish accession to the EU influenced in a positive way the results of Polish foreign trade in sugar, much increasing in years 2005-2006 the favourable balance of trade in sugar noted before the integration with the EU. That was notably a result of applied export refunds, paid by the Agricultural Market Agency from the EU budget. However, since 2009 Poland has had an adverse balance of trade in sugar because the national sugar production quota does not meet the domestic demand. / Synopsis.
