Abstract

Horticultural farms in Poland resemble those in the other countries in the EU with respect to a high share of fixed assets in the asset structure as well as a high capital intensity of production. In the assets structure dominate above all the land together with perennial plantations and buildings. The basic difference lies in the way they are being used which results in their productivity. In this aspect Polish farmers come off very negatively and with the lapse of time no significant improvement in the situation has been observed. / Synopsis.
