Abstract

The aim of this paper was to present an attempt to assess the impact of Poland's membership in the European Union on legislation governing the operation and directions of development for agricultural co-operatives. It presents issues concerning co-operative agricultural producers' groups, in particular the evolution of legislation and problems associated with the use of EU funds. Further investigations are focused on agricultural production co-operatives and dairy co- operatives. In closing remarks it is stressed, among other things, that the activities of agricultural co- operatives are increasingly determined by the EU law and the market situation in Europe. / Synopsis.
