Abstract

One of the major problems in the ongoing trade negotiations within the WTO is trade in agricultural products. In the case of the European Union, due to the significant level of protectionism in agriculture, an adoption of the WTO liberalization commitments in this area will mean a reform of the Common Agricultural Policy. At the moment, due to a lack of completion of the Doha negotiations round, it is difficult to predict trends in this policy. It is already generally recognized that the positive conclusion of the negotiations will increase the degree of opening of the EU market for agricultural products from third countries and reduce export subsidies. / Synopsis.
