Abstract

The main aim of the article was a presentation of interdependences in the agricultural policy between the WTO and the European Union in the conditions of globalisation. A specific objective was to highlight the rules of international agricultural trade and the new directions of WTO activities, the volatility of agricultural commodity prices in the world market and the endeavours to weaken it made outside the WTO as well as the new developments in the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) resulting from the Doha round. In the future, as a result of necessary reforms, the WTO should continue to stimulate the liberalisation of international trade and also, more than in the past, to support the development of developing countries. / Synopsis.
