Stan i perspektywy rozwoju rolnictwa ekologicznego w Polsce

Abstract

This paper highlights the current status of organic farming in Poland, and identifies problems faced by organic food producers. The article presents the distribution of organic farms by acreage in Poland, pointing to their fragmentation and unused labour resources. Attention was also given to the growing demand for organic food products and a mismatch between the food supply and that demand. A need of introducing some changes into the Polish organic agriculture, referring to the selected European countries is also pointed to. / Synopsis. W opracowaniu zwrócono uwagę na aktualny stan rolnictwa ekologicznego w Polsce, wskazano problemy, z jakimi borykają się producenci żywności ekologicznej. Przedstawiono strukturę wielkości gospodarstw ekologicznych w Polsce, wskazując na znaczne ich rozdrobnienie. Zwrócono uwagę na wzrastający popyt na żywnościowe produkty ekologiczne oraz niedostosowanie podaży do popytu. Wskazano także na konieczność wprowadzenia zmian w polskim rolnictwie ekologicznym, nawiązując do rolnictwa wybranych krajów europejskich.
