Abstract

The changes in the EU’s foreign trade in ornamental plants over the years 1995-2010 have been studied. The imports and exports values, structure of assortment and trade balance have been analyzed. It's geographic structure was analyzed in detail, by identifying the countries of plant origin and destination, as well as the largest EU exporters and importers. It was found that the intra-EU turnovers are the basis, but rising imports from African countries and exports to behind the EU eastern border is observed. The Netherlands is a major exporter while Germany a major importer. However, the increasing role of Germany as a supplier and of Netherlands as a buyer is visible. / Synopsis. W pracy badano zmiany w handlu zagranicznym roślinami ozdobnymi w UE w latach 1995-2010.
